FOR YOU TO BE AWARE OF.

 

PLEASE TAKE A FEW MINUTES TO READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING TO ENSURE THAT YOU ARE UPDATED ON REQUIRED CHANGES FOR YOUR NEXT APPOINTMENT.

  • Masks must be worn by guests and staff at all times. Please bring a mask with you to your appointment. If you do not have one, we have disposable masks available for $2.00. If you are unable to wear a mask due to health reasons, please let us know right away, we will have to cancel/reschedule your appointment.  

  • Please come alone. We cannot have anyone in the salon that is not scheduled for an appointment. This does include children. Anyone not having a service at that time, will be asked to wait in their vehicle or outside. If they cannot, we will have to reschedule the appointment.

  • Please do not park in the laneway. This causes anyone coming after you to be unable to park and it is dangerous to attempt backing onto Division street where we are located. In the event that the lot is full, there is free on-street parking available in the area. If you drive a larger vehicle it will likely be a better choice to park on-street nearby.

  • Please be parked and ready for your appointment time. We will do our best to be on time for you. We cannot have guests waiting inside for their appointment. Please allow for extra time in case there is no parking available in the lot and you have to park on a nearby street. If you are getting dropped off for your appointment, and cannot wait in the vehicle, please just let us know and we will provide direction.

  • Once you have arrived, please call 289-252-2004 right away to let us know. We will direct you to the front entrance or to stay comfy where you are until your service provider will be ready. The back door will be exit only. This phone number will not be posted publicly anywhere else. Please keep this number handy. This is for arrival notice only. Please do not call this number for any reason other than appointment arrival.

  • Our main phone line may not be available until we get everyone on our waitlist scheduled quickly and fairly. If you need to get in touch regarding an appointment, please send us an e-mail and we will get back to you as soon as possible. (houseofattitudes@outlook.com)

  • Limit the items you bring in with you. Phone, keys and payment method are allowed. Please leave bags and jackets in your vehicle.

  • We are no longer able to have magazines, if you wish to bring a book, you must keep it in your hands throughout the appointment. An e-book on your phone may be a better option. 

  • We cannot provide beverages. Please do not bring any food, unless necessary. Drinks must be in an enclosed container, preferably a twist top, and not drank while we are performing services or while you are within 6 ft of anyone, as masks would not be properly covering the mouth. For longer services, there can be a break given to have a bite to eat in your vehicle or outside if the weather permits. Anything brought in should be taken with you when leaving.

  •  Price increases will be necessary on all services. Please know this is required for our staff to be able to generate livable wages and for the business to sustain. We are working with both very reduced availability in our schedules, and reduced staff, while new operation costs are much higher due to the new provincial guidelines. We know that this is not ideal for everyone, but we simply cannot proceed without these increases.

    • For hair services: There are now different rates for different stylist experience/education levels. If new pricing with your current stylist or their new schedule does not work for you, we completely understand! We would like to encourage you to see one of our other stylists if possible! We know your hair, we keep thorough records and the lucky stylist that would be getting to take care of you would have your previous stylist to guide them. :) 

  • A deposit may be required for your appointment. If so, you will be notified and you can make it by visiting our online store (linked below) and going to the 'Shop' page, then clicking the 'Appointment Deposits'. 

  • We are not able to offer facial services (ie. waxing/sugaring) at the moment. This includes (not limited to) facial hair removal, peels, eyebrow/lash tinting, lash extensions, eyebrow trimming and beard trimming. 

  • Please take any necessary allergy medication prior to your appointment. We know that it is allergy season and we have staff that get terrible seasonally allergies too! We highly recommend that you take your medication some time prior to your appointment to ensure it is working. Sneezes, sniffles or coughs will cause us to have to discontinue your service even if we have already started it. 

  • If you are feeling unwell, please do not come in! If you and/or someone you have been in close contact with have recently been tested for COVID-19 and are still awaiting results (or tested positive), please do not come in. ​​We understand not wanting to wait for another appointment or risk losing a deposit. We really don't want that to happen to you either. We also don't want to lose a solid block of a day. We have adjusted our 48hour cancellation policy. If we can fill the space, you will not lose your deposit, regardless of how much notice we receive. More notice will obviously better the chances of that! The person filling your appointment space might even leave an availability for you in the near future! If you decide to come while unwell, we will not be able to allow you to receive the service(s) or get your deposit back. Please, do not take that chance.
